Galbraith’s Dry Cargo Chartering division is staffed by a group of experienced and knowledgeable brokers with the expertise to provide a complete chartering service to clients across the spectrum of major and minor bulk commodities and to provide Owner’s representation in all major vessel categories from small handy-size vessels upwards.

The division comprises two specialist units:

• Far East/South Asia trades
• Atlantic/Continent-Med trades

Each unit fulfils the needs of both owners and charterers, covering spot fixtures, contracts of affreightment and period charters.

The division serves a combination of long established clients and an increasing number of new clients in the fields of raw materials, metals, coal, petcoke and agriprods.

Whilst London is the principal location, our dry cargo coverage is also served from our overseas office in Shanghai.

Our offices work both independently or in combination with London, depending on the needs of our clients. Chartering activity is supported by a dedicated postfixture team which ensures that full post-fixture voyage management and accounting are performed to match the professional skills of the brokers.
